India´s Industries Joins the World Climate Summit

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has joined the World Climate Summit. FICCI is the voice of Indian Business and Industry and reaches out to more than 80,000 members.
As such, FICCI will help promote the World Climate Summit to their members, and bring Indian industry to the summit. Their annual conference Carbon Markets Conclave, will be the Indian stop to the Summit's new marketing programme called the "Road to Cancun".
Rita Roy Choudhury, Director & Head - Environment, Climate Change, Renewable Energy said, “FICCI facilitates business to business connections in the carbon markets and enables Indian carbon market stakeholders to integrate with the global mainstream. FICCI is happy to be a part of this unique initiative since it has the potential to emerge as a key platform to bring global businesses together to explore and evolve economic as well as sustainable solutions for climate change."
Michael Mathres, co-Founder of the World Climate Summit said, "Our goal is to reach out to all G-20 industry associations, and we are happy that FICCI is the second one to respond to our global call, after, of course, Mexico."
