Club of Beijing joins the World Climate Summit as Founding PartnerUnited Kingdom
The Club of Beijing (http://www.clubofbeijing.org/), the first international think tank convened by Chinese to focus on global sustainable development, and whose Board includes Maurice Strong, (first UNEP Secretary General and Grandfather of the Sustainable Development movement) has joined the World Climate Summit as a Founding Partner.
This partnership includes co-designing, co-promoting and co-inviting the Chinese industrial, financial, political, academic and sustainable development community to the World Climate Summit.
Club of Beijing said, “Fully aware of the challenges imposed by climate change, Club of Beijing is an organization which relies on dialogue, the promotion of interdisciplinary analysis and research, and the execution of concrete actions, as methods towards accomplishing the creation of new sustainable ways of life. At Club of Beijing we believe that in order to foster constructive global communication, we must involve emerging markets, particularly China. We must encourage global civic engagement and a better distribution of social and economic resources. We must provide pathways for civil society to engage to create solutions. We must support voicing of opinions and taking action.”
