Poseer un Vehículo en la Ciudad de México es una responsabilidad que todo Ciudadano debe entender, debido a ello el Gobierno ha dispuesto como norma que todo vehículo debe poseer una Tarjeta de Circulación, para garantizar así que este cumpla con la Ley esté debidamente registrado .
Si posees un Vehículo debes saber que La Tarjeta de Circulación debe estar vigente, además debes conocer que documentos requieres para obtenerla y donde y cuando asistir para poder adquirirla, en este Poste te llevaras a conocer todo lo que necesitas al respecto, acompáñanos.

Requisitos para cambio de Tarjeta de Circulación
La Tarjeta de Circulación es un Documento Oficial requerido para que puedas Circular con tu vehículo por las 
carreteras y calles de la Ciudad de México, pero este documento de estar Vigente y sin vencimiento de lo contraria incurrirán en faltas graves que te ocasionarán multas.
Para que puedas tener facilidad de movilidad con tu Tarjeta de Circulación el Departamento de la Secretaría de Movilidad de la Ciudad de México ha puesto a tu servicio una serie de Módulos de asistencia al conductor para que puedas realizar tu solicitud en el lugar más cercano a tu domicilio.
Si deseas cambiar o renovar Tu Tarjeta de circulación o adquirir una nueva debes cumplir con varios requisitos esenciales para ello entre estos requisitos podemos mencionar los siguientes:
- Ser Mayor de edad (18 años cumplidos)
- Deber ser Propietario de un vehículo o tener uno en arriendo
- No presentar infracciones o registros de tránsitos sin pagar
- Poseer licencia de conducir vigente
Al cumplir con estos requisitos entonces puedes proceder a recaudar la documentación necesaria para que puedas Cambiar tu Tarjeta de circulación.
Documentos requeridos
Para realizar el Cambio de tu tarjeta de Circulación deberás tener a la mano una serie de documentos que son requeridos por la Secretaría de Comunicación y Transporte pero estos dependerán del tipo de trámite por el que solicites este cambio de documento.
Solicitud de Cambio en Caso de Vencimiento de la Tarjeta de Circulación:
- Tarjeta de Circulación pronta a vencerse o en tal caso ya vencida (original y copia)
- Presentar el Documento de Identidad Vigente (Documento de votación emitido por el INE, la cédula de profesionalización, documento o tarjeta del servicio militar, pasaporte) en original y copia.
- Carta de Domicilio emitida por la autoridad civil correspondiente (original y copia)
- Recibo de pago de servicios básicos (agua, luz, gas, telefonía fija) en original y copia
- Presentar el título o documento de propiedad del vehículo (original y copia)
- En caso de ser un apoderado presentar Carta de Autorización de apoderado emitida por un Notario Público (en original y copia)
- Presentar el pasaporte vigente y carta de residencia en caso de ser extranjero
- En caso de reemplazo por extravió debe presentar la carta circunstancial emitida por u juez civil correspondiente a la denuncia
- En caso de cambio por robo debe presentar la carta de denuncia ante la autoridad pública correspondiente
- Seguro de seguridad vial contra daños a terceros
- Constancia de pago de los aranceles correspientes por el trámite
Otros Documentos que son requeridos en situaciones especiales para el cambio de tarjeta de circulación:
Documentos requeridos para Cambio de Tarjeta de Circulación en caso de cambio de características del Vehículo:
- Todos los anteriormente descritos más
- Presentar la Documentación necesaria con la facturación de los repuestos o piezas que se le reemplacen al vehículo (motor, chasis, puertas, otros)
En caso de reemplazo o cambio de las placas metálicas de identificación estadal:
- Todos los anteriormente descritas en la primera parte
- Presentar adicional copia de las placas de identificación vehicular a cambiar
En caso de reemplazo o cambio del nombre del propietario:
- Todos los anteriormente descritas en la primera parte
- En caso de ser una sociedad mercantil, copia del registro de la nueva sociedad
- Presentar el registro de cambio de domicilio del contribuyente que aparecerá en la tarjeta de circulación
Pasos a seguir
Para realizar el cambio de la tarjeta de Circulación lo puede hacer de dos formas las cuales se describirán a
continuación:
- La primera de forma presencial asistiendo a cualquiera de los módulos de atención ciudadana de la Secretaría de Movilidad
- La segunda o a través de la Pagina Web (cdmx.gob.mx/tarjeta-circulacion/public/) de la Secretaria de Movilidad
Pasos a Seguir para el Cambio de Tarjeta de Circulación de Forma Presencial:
- Lo primero que debes hacer es verificar si cumples con los requisitos exigidos
- Luego debes recaudar la documentación solicitada para el trámite según tu caso
- Después debes dirigirte a la alcaldía o al módulo de atención al ciudadano de la Secretaría de Movilidad más cercano a tu domicilio
- Una vez manifiesta tu necesidad de querer cambiar tu tarjeta de circulación (ante uno de los agentes de atención al ciudadano)
- Presenta la documentación requerida
- Espera sea verificada tu identificación
- Por último retira tu Tarjeta de Circulación y listo
Con estos simples pasos ya tu trámite de manera presencial sea realizado con éxito.
Pasos a Seguir para el Cambio de Tarjeta de Circulación a través de la página web:
- Lo primero que debes hacer es tener a la mano la Documentación solicitada para el trámite según tu caso (los documentos deben estar digitalizados en formato PDF)
- Segundo ingresa a la página Web (tramites.cdmx.gob.mx/tarjeta-circulacion/public/ ) de la Secretaria de Movilidad
- Una vez allí debes ingresar a tu cuenta con tu Llave Única CDMX (coloca tu correo y contraseña), luego dale clic al Link Ingresar
- De forma inmediata se abrirá una página en la pantalla donde deberás colocar los datos solicitados por el sistema (Placa del vehículo, nombre del propietario, número del documento de identidad, correo, número de teléfono fijo, entre otros)
- Luego debes ingresar al área de pago allí debes realizar el pago de tu arancel según el tipo de vehículo
- Por último Espera la confirmación del sistema y descarga o imprime el comprobante de solicitud
Si no tienes una cuenta de ingreso a la Secretaría de Movilidad debes crear una para poder ingresar al sistema en línea.
¿Qué es la Tarjeta de Circulación y para qué se usa?
Como ya hemos comentado la Tarjeta de Circulación es un Documento Legal de tipo oficial otorgado por la Secretaría de Movilidad y Transporte donde se registran las características de los Vehículos y los datos de sus propietarios.
Este Documento o Tarjeta de Circulación es indispensable para que el vehículo pueda transitar por las calles, avenidas y carreteras de toda la República Mexicana.
En la tarjeta de Circulación se registran los siguientes Datos:
- Nombre del Propietario
- Número de la Placa del vehículo
- Tipo de vehículo
- Modelo
- Tipo de Combustible que usa
- Oficina donde fue expedida la tarjeta
- Serial del vehículo
- Fecha de caducidad de la tarjeta
Las Tarjetas de Circulación pueden ser cambiadas por varios motivos a inconvenientes y todo ciudadano debe estar al tanto de ello, entre estas causas están:
- Cambio por deterioro
- Las debes cambiar al vencerse el tiempo de caducidad
- Cambio cuando realizas modificaciones al vehículo (motor, color, algún diseño, otro)
- Debe ser cambiar cuando esta pasa hacer posesión de otra persona (cambió de dueño)
- Cambio de la tarjeta de Circulación al reemplazar las placas
- Debe ser cambiada si es extraviada o robada
El no poseer la Tarjeta de Circulación podría ocasionarte serios problemas legales si eres abordado un agente de tránsito el cual te colocarte una multa o infracción por no poseer dicho documento al día o por carecer de este.
¿Dónde se renueva la Tarjeta de Circulación? 
La Tarjeta de Circulación al ser un Documento Oficial para poder transitar con tu vehículo debe ser solicitado en las dependencias que indique la Secretaría de Movilidad ya que este es el órgano encargado de regir y normar todo lo referente a este documento.
Entre los lugares indicados por la Secretaría de Movilidad están:
- Las dependencias de las alcaldías municipales
- Los Módulos de atención y servicio ciudadana de la Secretaría de Movilidad
Precio de la Tarjeta de Circulación 
Para realizar el trámite de Cambio de la Tarjeta de Circulación el ciudadano interesado deberá pagar al gobierno de la Ciudad de México un impuesto o arancel cuyo monto depende del tipo y modelo de vehículo del que este sea propietario.
Estos son los montos en pesos que debes pagar para cambiar tu Tarjeta de Circulación:
- Los Automóviles Antiguos 340,00$
- Vehículos de Remolque 223,00$
- Los Automóviles híbridos 170,00$
- Vehículos con Placas de discapacidad 170,00$
- Las Motocicletas 230,00$
- Las Motocicletas eléctricas 230,00$
Renovación de la Tarjeta de Circulación por Internet
Para realizar la renovación de la Tarjeta de Circulación por internet debes poseer una cuenta con tu Llave Única CDMX para ello debes seguir con los pasos que te indicaremos a continuación:
- Lo primero que debes hacer es tener a la mano la Documentación solicitada para el trámite según tu caso (los documentos deben estar digitalizados en formato PDF)

La Tarjeta de Circulación es el único documento válido que te permite transitar de forma legal por todas las vías o carreteras de la ciudad de México.
Este documento es necesario ya que a través de él se realiza un registro de todos los automóviles que existen la ciudad.
El no poseer la tarjeta de circulación te puede ocasionar problemas de infracciones o multas que van desde pagos de dinero que oscilan entre los 1,687$ y los 2,534$.
